Advantages of freeze dryer

Drying method is varied, such as drying, cooking, drying, vacuum drying and spray drying, but ordinary drying methods are generally above 0 ℃ or under higher temperature.

The products obtained from drying generally have the problems of volume reduction and texture hardening. Most of the volatile components will be lost. Therefore, compared with the products before drying, there is a great difference in the characters of the products after drying. Freeze-dried law basically under 0 ℃, namely, under the product freeze state only in the later when reduce the residual water content of the products, to make products to more than 0 ℃ temperature, but is generally not more than 40 ℃. Under vacuum conditions, when the water vapor sublimates directly, the drug remains in the ice shelf when it freezes, forming a spongy porous structure, so its volume is almost unchanged after drying. Before reusing, it will dissolve as soon as the injection water is added.

Advantages of freeze dryer:

1. Many heat-sensitive substances will not degenerate or deactivate;

2. When dry at low temperature, the loss of some volatile components in the substance is small;

3. During freeze-drying, the growth of microorganisms and the action of enzymes cannot be carried out, so the original characters can be maintained;

4. Because of the drying under the state of freeze, the volume is almost unchanged, and the original structure is maintained, so the concentration will not occur.

5. As the water in the material exists in the form of ice crystals after pre-freezing, the inorganic salts dissolved in water are evenly distributed among the materials.

6. After drying, the substance is loose and porous and spongy. After adding water, it dissolves quickly and completely, and almost immediately recovers its original character.

7. Because drying takes place in a vacuum and there is little oxygen, some easily oxidized substances are protected.
